01 / WHY 1401
1401 is a year in the Persian calendar. It's 2022 on yours.
It's the year Mahsa Amini died in the custody of Iran's morality police, and people across the country went into the streets anyway. Women took off their headscarves in public. Students walked out. Many were arrested, and some were killed.
We named the company after that year. It's the reason we exist.
